Your Homework

Where are you wanting to go? Who are you meant to be?

Consider why you are exploring this modality and reflect on the top 3-5 issues. Take the top one and ask yourself: When did this start? What purpose does this serve in my life? Am I feeding this problem in some way? How does this problem make me feel? What does my life look like WITHOUT this problem? How does THAT make you feel? If you are going to let go of something, you have to feel comfortable answering these questions. I can help if this is difficult. This conscious exercise is important. I will explain why below.

Your internal microphone

Hint: It's not really internal

The microphone of you speaking to yourself (but the world can hear you too).

Imagine that your conscious mind is standing on the balcony of a factory holding a microphone, looking down at the subconscious mind. The factory is your body (being run by the subconscious mind) operating all functions, storing all information, and repairing all problems. What is being said on that microphone?

"You aren't doing enough."

"You are taking too long."

"You are ugly."

"No one likes you."

"You can't do anything right."

"You are sickly."

Does that motivate the team, who is working around the clock, doing their best? Does that honor the team and promote healing and efficiency? Does that allow for communication to be heard so issues can be sought out and repaired? I think everyone would say no. We all want to hear encouragement, gratitude, love, acknowledgement, and receptivity. It decreases stress, promotes peace and healing, and unites and aligns the body for optimal function. What does that mean?

Start by noticing your self-speech. Continue by switching out the bully boss for the team coach everyone wants to douse with Kool-Aid. Note: the microphone is exactly that- a microphone. Don't think for a minute that it is only heard by your subconscious factory. It is heard and projected throughout your energy. It is felt in your business, career, relationships, hobbies, everything. What you say to yourself is literally being broadcast to the world. Someone is interested in your booth, your book, your website, but something "doesn't feel right" so they move on. Let's work from the INSIDE out and make sure you believe in yourself so others can too.

Are you surrounding yourself with goodness? It is hard to stay clean while wearing a light-colored dress or light-colored suit trampling through the mud puddles. In other words, if your desire is health, healing, peace, etc. you have to clean up your environment. Create time for mental centering every day, even if it is for a few minutes. Turn off the angry music, the violent or sexual movie or show, and the negative, gossipy, hateful speech. Stop the alcohol, drugs, and other vices. These are low vibrational- attracting negative energies, causing imbalances and dysfunctions, stunting healing, and occupying the space we want to give the high vibrational energy. Take out the trash to bring in the sunshine.

Lastly, where do you put your energy? Are you spending your words, thoughts, and time on what you don't want and what is wrong with you? We know from the Laws of Attraction that wherever you put your energy is what gets mirrored back from the world/ where you put your energy is what you get more of! When you say, "Don't look at the red mug," everyone will instantly look at the red mug. Stop spending your energy on what you don't want! Say, "Look at the silver mug," and everyone will look at the silver mug. That is not to say you should ignore your problems or remain helpless and complacent (after all, problems do not fix themselves). I am talking about what you SAY to yourself and the world.

"I want a successful, profitable business." 

"I want good health." 

"I want healthy relationships." 

"I am capable and passionate in my job, and I bring a unique perspective and skill that no one else does." 

"I am healing."

What is going well? Say "thank you" for that- to others, to yourself, to God. What has improved? Even slight improvements are a great start! What are your blessings? If this is hard, go VERY basic like having shelter, safety, clothing, food, etc. Shift your perspective. Downshift as well- take your shoes and socks off and go outside WITHOUT your phone. Stand or sit in the grass and close your eyes. Listen to the sounds you hear and name them. Breathe as slow as you can and hear your breath. Be thankful for that sun shining on your face, the air entering your lungs, the trees making music with their leaves, and any other sound you identify. The past is behind you and the future hasn't happened. You are here now, and the present is all that matters. If, at any point during these exercises, you feel any certain way (resistance, frustration, anger, anxiety, guilt, anything)- make a note and let me know. We will use it!!!
